One of my tires, which are fairly new, has worn on the inside 1/4 to the point of no threads. Assuming it's a bent axle? How hard is it to change myself?

I don't know how hard an axle would be to change. If it is a bent axle and not bent drastically, take it to a place that does big truck alignment. They can figure it out and straighten the axle. I had that issue on a Venture boat trailer I had years ago. Took it to a local truck alignment shop, they fixed it perfectly. Just a thought.

Of course I talk to myself...sometimes I need expert advice.
Ron, are you talking torsion axles?
There was a time that I didn't fish but I cannot remember it.
Spindle is likely bent and the axle will need to be replaced.. I just put a new tire on every year with the one that is doing it on mine.
If it's the torsion bar type suspension you may just need a new assembly. This set up does not do well if it impacts a curb while turning.

I just went through this on my 2010 single axle trailer, had to replace the axle. Had a trailer shop do it and they replaced all of the brake system as well. Basically a new trailer now...lol!

Take the tire off and make sure the hub assembly is tight. 150 foot lbs. is the torque spec. These need to be checked and re torqued throughout the year.
If you run your trailer tires below max pressure they will ware the insides out first .
what year boat? As mentioned above if it has the torsion axles you may simply have a loose hub assembly and need to tighten up the big bolt/nut to 150 FT lbs...or if the teeth are worn funny from being loose then replace end unit and axle....below is the torsion design and nut that needs to be tightened. 111.jpg

That torsion nut is usually loose because the bolt, or idler assembly, got stretched by impact. Often they can not be simply tightened.
