Bought me an old man gun..

Benelli m2 12 guage....26 inch barrel... Bought it to turkey hunt with.... If I ever decide to go duck hunting or anything like that... I'm not shotgun poor by any means but my turkey guns are so bad on my old repaired shoulder I needed something that would reduce the recoil cuz I like to kill myself last year shooting at a bird.... Something had to change....

What makes it an old man gun? Any age man would be proud to own such a shotgun

It's a semi automatic...lazy man's gun...only other semi I have is an old 1100 Remington that belonged to my dad...all the rest are pumps...that's all I've ever owned....I don't know why...what I've always been drawn to.

you will enjoy shooting that gun, I shot a Benelli for more than 20 years chasing waterfowl.
I retired the Benenlli 4 years ago and picked up a Browning cynergy over and under.

I shoot a Benelli SBE2. I will probably go back to a gas-operated gun at some point. The Benelli is great for reliability, but the inertia system doesn’t dampen recoil like a gas gun.

Nice gun. My FIL is in the same boat as you. Had rotator cuff surgery last year. Still difficult for him to shoot at the age of 78. Understandably Aggravates him, He's a former state and national champ.

Nice gun. I just always thought these along with the A5 and A400 were rich man guns

Been shooting the same gun for 2 years. Got my Dad's when he passed. I'll change out the pad and my wife will shoot it instead of her 20. Been shooting my Beretta for years. Love them both. Thanks Dad.

Thought the M2 was a gas operated gun. I have been shooting a SBE since the late 90’s. Would love to buy a SBE 3, but too attached to my old gun.

It’s a nice gun but if you bought it to be easier on your shoulder, you’ll probably be disappointed. The interia action it uses doesn’t reduce felt recoil. For that you want a gas operated semi like a Remington or Beretta (or others).

Very nice shotgun. I went from a SBEII to a Browning Gold. Much softer recoil with 3.5” 12 loads. I’ve now went to using the 20 gauge for turkeys with no loss in killing power or effective range using TSS. For some reason though I’m finding myself strangely attracted to a Browning A5 in Mossyoak Bottomland.

I have a couple M2's. They are awesome but like others have said, they aren't the softest shooting semi's. I have a beretta A400 Extreme plus and it's like a dang cap gun. Super soft shooter! I love my benelli's though....They are killers!
