    150 4s merc prop on a 198p

How big and what style props have you guys ran and got the best performance out of the merc 4s on a 198p. I have a 23p tempest plus and running 5900 rpm per vessel view. Charted it out I could go as high as a 26p

Your rpms will go down with a 24 so will holeshot. No way that motor will turn a 26.

I have the ProXS and a 24P Tempest on mine and it will turn over 6000K with just me, different hull, I know. I was surprised that with me the wife, grown daughter, 26 gallons of fuel, all my tackle and 3/4 livewell with 6 nice white bass I still managed to turn 5790 RPM from my vessel view. I wonder if I should step up to a 25P. The ProXS is 5200-6000k operating range. @ 6090RPM this morning I was running 57 GPS with 20+ gallons of fuel and tackle.
