I personally need the ballast of the regular batteries. Still add weights under the passenger seat when Solo, then under the driver seat when I have a passenger........I’m a stranger to change though. I can maybe see moving to a lithium cranking on the drivers side and keeping the lead on the passenger. Can both be charged simultaneously with a regular on board 3 bank charger?

Yes depending on which charger you have for all. The minn Kota PC series work fine and for the lithium it has to be in the agm setting.

I may have the oldest lithium in use. I put mine in, Nov 2012, and have not had any
problems to date. Speed wise I do feel it makes the boat quicker but not faster because
our best speeds are with a little weight added to the boat.

I sell Lithium Pro, Relion, and Ionic. No issues out of any of them. I try to keep something to fit everyones budget.

    I installed one of the new 36v 65ah Lithium Pros this week in a 21xrd and then Installed 3 100ah and 2 125ah Ionic’s in a Triton 21trx.

Charger depends on the setup, 12v can use a MK Precision where the 24 and 36v batteries cannot use a 12v output charger.

Tim, interested in why you put 2 125's in the Triton. Assuming the boat has a merc 2 stroke? I can still get low voltage warning when starting my Lithium 100 after a long time sitting with graphs and livewell running. I have to make sure I go for a run to get them a little more juice.

The main reason was due to the 12v load, he was running Livescope, 360, and 4 12” units (mixture of Garmin, Solix, and Helix). Previously he was running a Northstar NSB31AGM and the battery would be dead after about 4 hours.

Is anyone using Lithium 125ah for cranking battery on Merc 4 Stroke Pro XS? Is the alternator putting out too much power for the lithium batteries? What about motor warranty?

I just bought Millertechs, they have 80ah, I didnt trust the 50ah. Seem to be great after 3 weeks use, hard day of fishing still have 75-80% left... I'm gonna try to fish for 2 days next time I get 2 consecutive days to go.

I made the switch to Ionics as well. Best price I could find on them was from DREWTICK on here.

I only changed out the 3 trolling batteries. I went with the 50Ah batteries and I have yet to even get close to using them up all in one day. Fished a T yesterday 7-3. 10-12+ mph winds most of the day. I checked them when I got home and was only down to 71%. I just unplugged the TM (important!) and I will charge them after another trip or two.

I put the 31 series start battery on the port side with the trolling batteries. It was a tight fit, but they are all in there. I kept my same Genuis charger too. It is mounted in the compartment behind the passenger seat. Everything works great and I'm happy with the weight loss.

I just went with (1) 24v Ionics a few weeks ago. I also went with a Lowrance Ghost, fished 10 hours in strong wind last week and only used 41% of the battery. The phone app is really cool to be able to monitor the battery condition. I noticed a better hole shot and the boat seems to ride better in rough water. I had (3) 29 series lead batts, and now the one 24v, big weight difference. As mentioned already, no difference in top speed, but does make the boat quicker getting to top speed.
