    Old stratos setup help

Hey guys I recently picked up an old 1989 stratos 189V with a 200hp Johnson
When I got the boat it was sitting on the lowest setting on the jack plate and has an old
Worn out 4 blade shooter prop 25 pitch. I’ve only ran the boat once as it was and it’s runs strong but not getting
good bow lift but does get out of the hole quick even with 3 guys. I just raised the the motor to 3.75” below pad to give myself somewhere to start but I’m going to want to retire the old shooter prop, any suggestions on new prop?

A WORKED 24 Raker, or 25 Tempest + with OMC hub kit would give you the most mph. A trophy with hub kit would handle better but cost a few mph.

I've never seen a raker that didn't need some help, they are turds out of the box but the right prop guy can really make one run.

If you want to try a stock prop that will run decent, try a Renegade 25, four blade.

Does that boat have a jack plate? If it doesn't it probably won't run higher than 4.25 under pad with out blowing out or over revving.

I just Picked up a new 25’ Tempest prop today for the ol girl. Just have to find a hub kit to fit on the Johnson. Curious to see how it will do.

Noted, I’m not familiar with this hull or motor yet. I know my nitro likes it high @ 3.5, I’ll bring my tools to the lake with me and move it till it works the best
