    1997 Sprint 207

    Does anyone know if the transom is wood .In this model ?
    Thinking about buying one for my motor.

    They used a product called XL50 . In place of wood but used where wood products are used.The brochure for the 98 which is my model says it will not rot. It's glassed in to the transom with 3 Knee braces.

    It shouldn't cause you any problems. It's not wood but some type of composite material. What Bassmeister said......

    1997 207DC definitely has a composite transom... It may have some plywood used to backup/ support some places in the boat like the trolling motor area, console area... One of the best riding boat made... Plus it's pre Travis so it a good one... Dan
