    First trip 3/8/2020

Got my first trip of the year in yesterday. Went to a little lake, and fished a jerk bait, trap, shad rap, chatterbait, and a jig. Caught two, both about 2 1/2, on the jig in about 2ft of water on some laydowns. Was shad dying, gulls everywhere diving on fish, and fish out in deeper water. Couldn't buy a bite, happened to be going by some laydowns and pitched into for the hell of it.

Was windy enough that a small lake fished even smaller than normal. All in all a good first trip of the year.

Sounds like a fun trip for early in the season.

Hit a small lake Sunday, had 7 keepers: 1 on a trap and 6 on a jig. They were all roughly the same size 15 to 16 inches anywhere from 4 to 10 foot. Got on the lake at 9am water temp 40.2, left at 4pm and water temp 43.4. It seemed to be a morning bite. Tight lines everyone...

Nice!.. Went to Atturbury (Pigsah) Sunday but no sign of life whatsoever. I hit a few other small lakes there with the same results. I didn't see anyone else having any better luck.

Wish I had gone earlier, two I caught were about 3 pm, but wind was blowing pretty good by then.
