    Question 87 procraft 1780v wiring

can anyone guide me in the right direction, I would like to change to a 36 volt trolling motor from a 12v but the wiring diagram on the shows there is a link between the two. Do I have to run separate cables to the trolling motor and keep the 12v to the plug intact?

How many wires are talking about? The only connection between the wires would be a jumper in a 3 or 4 wire system.

Your boat is setup for a TM that can run on both 12 and 24V, so two of the wires are connected together at the front. You’ll only need two wires for your 36, but you’ll need to put jumpers between the batteries.

You may need new wiring and you will probably need a new circuit breaker. What gauge are the existing wires going to the front? Should be printed on the insulation.

You can just stash the extra wires. You can use any two wires and pins.
