HDS LIVE Software Update (20.0)
Release Date: 1 March 2020
Version: 20.0-63.1.223
We are pleased to announce the release of Lowrance software version 20.0 for all HDS Live, HDS Carbon, and Elite Ti2 displays.
This software update includes the following improvements:
Ghost Trolling Motor Support
Full control of the industry leading Lowrance Ghost trolling motor is now enabled on the compatible Lowrance displays. This includes full steering control of the Ghost trolling motor from your Lowrance display as well as configuration of Ghost’s configurable buttons.
Lowrance Mobile App Sync
The Lowrance mobile app can now be used to register Lowrance displays. This allows users quicker and easier technical support and notification of future software updates.
Mercury Feature Updates
Mercury Vessel View Link modules can now be updated via the network connected Lowrance display on the boat. This makes it easier to update your Vessel View Link.
Mercury autopilots will now automatically unlock Mercury Autopilot features Drifthook, Bowhook, and Heading adjust. These features no longer require purchasing through Mercury’s online store.
Engine Data Updates
Users now have the option to enable or disable engine use data collection.
ciao,
Marc
Hope it is worth the wait...
Bandwidth just went to hell on the L site.....
Now if it will just stop raining...
Hopefully this will resolve the carbon/HDI issue as well. No mention of that though......

Don't have a Ghost and am not planning to buy one. The rest of the new features are so minor I don't need them either so no need to update for me...
Interested if downscan image clarity gets better with a 3 in 1 with this update as well (along with HDI transducer rectangle box fix I hope is in there).

Download on a PC to a memorycard of maximum 32GB. Put memorycard in unit and turn it on, follow the on-screen instructions.
Save your waypoints (to the memorycard or the Link-app), and do a hard reset:
Then set up the unit with your preferred settings etc and go fishing.

hope it goes smooth after that wait.
Normally I would do it the day it comes out but just got everything working good on v19 and got a tournament this weekend so I am going to hold off to see some reviews. Don't see much here that is useful as I do not have my ghost installed yet.

I don't have a Ghost, but am ecstatic that I will be able to update Vessel View Link over the network (mine is mounted such that it was total PITA to insert a micro SD, when I installed I just assumed it would have been able to update via network like SS3D and Xi5, and tucked it safely out of the way).
They didn't mention it so I wont count on it, but I am also hoping they fixed the issues with HDI, and the contrast with SS3D (also has a 20.0 release) .

Just updated my HDS Live to 20.0. You need to turn on the power to the Ghost before you update the Live, but you don't have to deploy it. Once complete, go into autopilot menu, and this will allow you to program the 3 other buttons from the MFD. Went smoothly. Also spoke to Lowrance this morning about the details of the V20 update for the SS3D. No one could give me any information about it.
Would I need to install this update in both my bow and console carbons?
