Fingers crossed for more normal water levels on the Miss this spring.
There was a time that I didn't fish but I cannot remember it.

I am getting pretty stoked! Picking up the boat from storage in about 1.5 weeks to get prepped etc!

Cal, I talked to someone from the Corp of Engineers last fall who somewhat jokingly said he doesn't even know what "normal" is anymore after the year they had last year!

Hey Jared, yeah, the word normal definitely needs to be in quotes. Crazy amount of water last year. Looks like your having a nice gradual melt, at least so far.

So far so good. Gradual melt will be key!

I've got sources telling me there is still over 20" of ice in the backwaters. It will be interesting to see how that changes after this weekend and into next week.

11/2 weeks for me (weekend after next). Ice fishing was good, although a late start, this year. Hoping spring fishing picks up where the ice fishing left off. Hopefully no winter gremlins pop up to be fixed.

Pulled the boat out of storage today. Figured I would beat the rush and get it done while I have lots of time at home :)

shrink wrap is off and everything looks likes it working so far.

I picked up my boat last week just in case.......of lock down. Got it all re-setup and put all my life vests, tools etc back in. Just waiting for the ice to come off!

Guessing ice will be off of some of the lakes by the end of the weekend.

Yeah especially with the rain this weekend that ice should start t9 be scarce.

Glad walz was deliberate in his words that he wants people to respect the social distancing but get out and be outdoors...including lakes.

Ice off on most lakes around me. Fish, Eagle and Medicine. Gonna try to get the boat out this week for a first go.

Put the muffs on and fired it up today. Ran great. Everything else seems to be working (fingers crossed).

Looks like a crappy week weather wise. But Sunday and Monday coming up look to be fairly nice. Probably going to take her out Sunday and see if my crappie hot spots on Minnetonka are still hot spots :)

I keep my boat in Texas over the winter to fish every couple of weeks. That one back fired on me this spring. LOL It's a 1000 miles away and every day more states are adding restrictions. Probably boat less for this spring.

Pulled mine out three weeks ago and went to MO. Had a great time fishing OK and AR. everything worked great.
There are a few lakes clear of ice north of the cities.
