So my port side rod buckle decided to quit working.....Ive searched high and low to try finding the same one I have in my boat which is the smaller concealed version and cannot find it anywhere.......you guys know something I dont? Only other thing im thinking is I buy the normal big rod buckle and use my existing concealed mounting kit?

Well I figured it out.....pretty much need to order the full system and then you can do the conceal kit on it. Should be here tomorrow....we shall see.

Quick question for you guys on this......if I have someone fishing with me and they put there rods next to the seat where they are supposed to go.....I dont have a rod strap there......idk if it did not come with one or was just never installed from factory but im curious on if anyone else has one and what one it was from factory. Thanks!

Mine has a rubber bungie cord right behing the seat. The cord come out of the gunnel and attached to a metal d ring on the deck of the boat.
Thanks! I just looked at as many photos as I could find online that shows the passenger side and it looks like its definitely a rubber retractable out of the gunwale! Got it ordered! LOL

It is the standard rod buckle retractor unit, and they screw the gunnel kit onto it. Its pretty straight forward. The strap can be a bit hard to take the clip off of just dont let it go snapping back in there to fast like a window shadeOriginally Posted by scum_frog

My original bow port side rod buckle had broke earlier last year but I fixed that.......when I originally purchased the boat we noticed right away there was no rod strap for the passenger.....so anytime rods were laying there next to the seat you had to hold it so the rods wouldnt bounce out or rod covers come off. Thats why I was asking about that one which I bought a gunwale retractable mount for it.
