    This is sound advice here. After chasing smallies on the great lakes for over 20 years, i can say that there is no magic solution, and every fish, every day is going to be different. I will say, a stop and go retrieve, where the go is reeling as fast as humanly possible, is one of the more effective ways to trigger bites with any bait.
