    X17 Question for a friend.

    I have a friend that just bought a 2008 X17 with a 115 yami 4stroke (grey motor).

He was having problems plugging the livewell. Is there a switch or an actual plug he has to put in there? Also, what top end can he expect out of her?
    Thanks in advance!!

Depends on what 'package' (think trim level) Xpress he has. Some of the lower trim package boats at one time in the mid-2000's did actually use a drain plug ('stopper') to plug the livewell. Other packages had a remote drain flapper valve just like all the major brands of fiberglass boats. Those boats typically have a lever somewhere around the cockpit area. Different years located it in different exact spots, but it was always within reach of your right hand in the cockpit.
