    SE Wisconsin Ice out

    Any guesses for ice out date for the southern portion of wisconsin. We are getting a nice warming trend this week. Sunday I noticed a lot of water sitting on top of ice as the snow was melting. For what I see on the 10 day forcaste if it holds I would say about two weeks for open water for the lakes that froze really late.

    40 acre lake just north of me is 80% ice free. The rain Thursday should finish it off....just in time for it to freeze Friday night

    I quit ice fishing 2 weeks ago around me and spent the last week getting the boat and gear ready for open water. But with this current forecast I'm not sure if I really want to play in the boat so may head your way to get back on the hard stuff.
