Anyone other than me running a Honda 250 on their Bass Boat?

I'm running a BF250 on my 2019 BassCat Puma FTD. Love it, super quiet, sips gas, holeshot is smoking. I give up a few MPH top end but think thats due to the 2:1 lower gear ratio. I'll trade the speed for the durability.

I tried to order my boat with a Honda but it wasn’t an option. No Honda/Phoenix dealer within 100’s of miles. If my SHO ever fails I’ll be getting the Honda. There are some Honda bass boats out there just not many!

I run a 150 not a 250. Totally happy. No more a speed demon but I know I'll get back to the launch when I'm done.

My next boat will have a Honda or if I decide to re-power again it’ll have a Honda. I use to do all the maintenance on them when I was in the Coast Guard and I’ve seen some crazy engine hours and they flat out last.

I always wondered if a Honda would make its way on an Allison boat. I know they are delicate when it comes to weight. Great looking rig BTW

Thanks It jumps out with 4 seats full and goes faster than I want to go. The motor definitely doesnt hurt anything as far as I'm concerned.

I have been on Lake Fork for a week. Only bass boats I have seen with a Honda is mine and MLF pro Jessie Wiggins. I think Paul Elias runs a Honda but have not seen him. In three years I have only seen maybe four Hondas on bass boats here in Texas.
Honda is very common down on the coast in salt water.
Thinking about changing from a Fury 3 blade 24 pitch to a Fury 4 blade 23 pitch. My hole shot is about 7 to 8 seconds.

I’m running a Croxton Razor 4 24p. It will run 70 and still has a good holeshot.

Was running a Fury 4 25P worked by Ronnie Gilbert, it slung a blade a couple weeks ago. I'm now running a Croxton Razor 4XL, I need to get some good numbers and send it back to Mark to get him to fine tune it for the Honda / Puma

I actually have Paul's 2019 MLF boat, only had 57 hours on it when I got it from him. I live about 40 miles from him. This year he is running a Merc, because as he said Honda was changing up their deal? He loved the Honda, ran them for 7-8 seasons and only had one issue, small valve or something they sent to him that he replaced. Said he never had issues.

Running a 225 on my skeeter, runs great, smooth acceleration, quiet, and great holeshot. Definitely give up a couple mph, but I'll take reliability any day. Fury 4 24p prop
