I tried the anti-glare on my Solix 15 SI G2 and hated it. It made the image really soft/fuzzy. One of the things I have always liked about the Solix is how bright and crisp the display is. I kept it on for several fishing outings and ended up taking it off. I contacted Precision Sonar and they provided me a clear replacement which they promptly shipped at no cost to me. What great customer service!

I think it depends where it is located. I used the anti glare at the console. My Solix 12 is situated straight in front of me at eye height. In the sun, I found it distracting to see my movements in the screen. Yes there is a slight effect on the view. I found that less distracting. The HB units are so bright and clear it is not a problem for me. I have an older unit at the bow with no graph glass but I think clear there might be a good choice as it is not reflecting my movement. Nice to have a choice. Bob
