    Best I can tell the update is on micro card along with other Garmin things I had to do when I got my unit. This latest update will not load. I don't know why it will not load but wondering if it has to be on micro card by itself ( only thing on card maybe to get download started). Help appreciated!

    The downloaded file is a .exe file. Save this file to your computer, then double click on this file to "run" it. The .exe file then extracts all folders/files in their proper structure to your SD card.

    No .exe file that I can find. The download is on card but you can't run it. Garmin will sell you a micro card pre loaded for 29.99. It is just money..... they make it hard for those of us who know computers a little but not a lot. I guess I will not have the update!

    Delete the files on your sd card. Start over.
    When you download it, do not download it to the card, just let it download to your Download folder.
    Take Todd's word for it. It is an exe file whether you see that or not.
    Then double click it and follow the directions.

    Thank you very much for that offer. Please PM me mailing info. Should I send this micro card I have with other Garmin info on it as well as update. Or go buy new card and send that one.     I don't have download folder.........I do have place on computer where I see downloads but don't know how to move them somewhere else. I can open them but that has been it to date.

    Well I impressed myself......I was just able to re-format micro card wiping it clean. I am now off to see if I can update on my desk top computer. Wish me luck!

    I got it! I called Garmin and got support help. I missed step somewhere. When they talked me thru all the steps it loaded on card. Card is now in unit and downloading which will take a few. Everybody help appreciated! It would help if I was more computer sharp!
