    Helix 7 alternate mounting bracket ?

    I know I will use a kong mount for the bow of my boat to install the unit. However the bracket that the unit comes with.......any other ideas or upgrades ? I am worried that thing will snap with the bow pounding in the waves

    Replace the mount with the metal one listed in the accessories section of the Humminbird website.
