Back when I was 31 (1984) a yearly license in Kansas was $10.00. They were offering a lifetime license for $200.00. I have had it for 36 years. Now the yearly license is almost $28.00...lifetime is $507.00. Always thought it was a convince not to have to go get one each year. Finding out that it is more than convenience....saved a bunch of cash over the long haul.

This is one reason why I am extremely anal about not breaking any of the fishing regulations here in Kansas.

Both my kids (13,16) have theirs for hunting and fishing. The one huge benefit is if you move out of the state at some point you don’t have to pay non residents rates for tags. I’ll get one when we finally decide to escape this tax nightmare of a state just to screw them out of some money when vacationing here.

This...and don't forget you have to go online and print a new copy every year even though you paid for 3 years...2019's expire last day of February so you need to print your 2020.

I bought lifetime in Tennessee about 30 years ago as a resident there. Up until then I bout Sportsman license to I am ahead on the money side and can go to Tennessee and fish and hunt no worries.

I bought Georgia lifetime about 20 years ago after getting married and moving to Georgia. Ahead on the money saved with them also.

If you use them especially hunting and fishing, quota drawings etc. they are worth it.

I bought my LA combo hunt/fish ($500) about 7-8 years ago. Paid for itself in 6 years, sooner if I was a bowhunter. I just have to go get deer tags printed and buy a federal duck stamp. Texas out of state fishing is about $65ish a year or $3000 for non-resident lifetime. I'll just keep buying my license for Texas yearly.

    What's this Lifetime License? I'm 77 don't need a Delaware license but I pay $55.00 plus for a Maryland non-resident every year.

I have had an Alabama Hunting, Fresh and Saltwater Combo License for 40 years. It was $250 for all when purchased.

Illinois fishing isn't worth buying a lifetime fishing license. I go to Wisconsin or Minnesota.
