I know many say to use contact cement for carpeting or Henry 263 but has anyone used this stuff before? It is solvent based and I can actually order it off Amazon. I plan on using contact cement for the lid edges and around the lids on the deck.

I used Weldwood on my carpet and it works fine. I used it for aluminum lids and the deck. It needs to cure for... well, follow the directions on curing before it gets wet. It worked great for me.

I used Henry 263 for my trailer bunks and Welwood contact cement for re carpeting my whole boat. I’d recommend Welwood contact cement 1000x over carpet glue.
I'm currently doing my carpet and using weldwood.
Used wellwood as recommended by rangers carpet dept
What is usable for plywood decking, everything I've looked at specifically says not for plywood.

Do you have to put it on both parts. Carpet and deck or just on the deck? thanks
I put it on both when I did mine. May have been overkill but I didn’t want to have to do it again any time soon.

Both parts and let it get tacky but there will not be time for adjustments
Hopefully not hijacking here as the OP as received many answers (and think this may be relevant for the OP as well): Anybody have any experience using the Weldwood at lower temps? I know it says the temp of the surfaces must be over 65 degrees, but this is making it tough for me to have any chance of getting my carpet done before the season hits full bore here in MN. I'd be looking at maybe 50 degrees for the low end of the application temp.
I won't try it if it's going to prevent it from setting up, but if it's a matter of extending the cure time or something (the boat is in a garage and won't be getting wet, so no worries there) then I'm going to try to tackle it.

If you could find some scrap carpet and do a test piece. I have used the Weldwood in the red can at 60 degrees with not problem but never tried it in
Never tried it in the 50 degree range was what I was trying to say.
