    Well, as they say the best gun is the one you actually have with you. I prefer something a little more potent than a .22, but carry the one you feel most comfortable and proficient with and pray that you never have to use it.

    Watch some YouTube videos on 22's and the blocks of gel. Some rounds are very impressive. The thing is the reliability of it going off when the trigger is pulled.

    I'd rather have a 22 on me than no gun that's for sure. A 22 has killed many people over the years. I don't see anyone staying around after being shot at/with a 22

    Back in the 90’s when I did my concealed carry class, the stats indicated that .22lr killed more people than any other caliber.

    If I had a .22 in a pistol I wouldn't hesitate to carry it but all I have is three rifles in .22 caliber. So I carry my 1911 in .45acp.
