They didn't cancel it, they moved it to a later date. They had high water/flooding a few weeks ago with more rain forecast for that event. They also said they did not want to burden the locals and their responders during the flooding then by holding the event.

What gives is on the elite dates there were full sized trees floating downstream at about 5mph in the current and most of the Dayton boat dock area where they set their tents and park the trucks were all flooded. And now, the waters down, most of the debris is gone, and Dayton isn't flooded
