Probably Tom Hanks for overall and diverse. Eastwood was maybe the best for his western roles but not a fan after that.

Clint Eastwood, John Wayne and Henry Fonda are a great trio to start with for sure. Agree with some above with Hanks and Crowe along with Denzel Washing with Morgan Freeman too. Agree with the Selleck comment about only really good in a western also.
