Rayburn Info?

In a few weeks, a group (3 boats) will be going to Rayburn for the first time and we have a few questions.
We will be staying in the Cassells-Boykin area and we do have the boat lanes chip.


Is there a place to have lunch on the water? (beach/tie up your boat and walk to)
Are there any restaurants/diners close by Cassells-Boykin area for dinner? (if so what time do they close)


There will be two boys (7 & 8) in our group.


Any advise on fishing this lake would be appreciated (we have done research, but any info is helpful).

That lake is gonna get pounded the next month, good luck, has the big ones for sure.

Almost Nothing on the water in that area. Lake is corp of engineer and not suppose to build anything below the 11 ft above pool level.

On the South end there is a place near powel park that you can beach your boat and walk to the cafe.

Otherwise cassell boykins means u load up and drive to lake view inn or into Zavalla.

Forgot about Jackson Hill not far from cassell boykins, he will cook ya something.

Im pretty sure the hotel across from Cassell serves lunch, but You should call to confirm. Lakeview is the name of it.

Lakeview has rooms and a cafe (936-897-2102) for reservations. Broaddus, TX has motel and cafe also just north of Cassell Boykin a few miles.
