I don’t know... just trying to plan out when I may be purchasing a new 1880 or 1980. The 2080 is definitely off the table.... momma said no to giving up her spot in the garage.

I know this was a dead thread but I just ordered an 1880 last week (June 24) and it will be a 2021 model.

Did they mention any differences from 2020 model? I doubt much if any. I am looking at putting a down payment on a 2020 1980 currently at my dealer.

Have not heard of any differences. Could be a good surprise, bad surprise, or no surprise.

Most manufacturers start building the new model year in June or so, in time for their dealer meetings. So, I would think anything started now would be 2021.

Dealers are already getting 2021 models, have been for several weeks.

I talked to a guy that has a cousin that has mailman related to a guy by marriage (now divorced) that said as far as the 2021 models go it is going to be just a color addition.

That’s some super cool insider intel. I sure hope you don’t get your source in hot water by sharing that. Daffron would be pissed.

One thing to keep in mind is there may be a little bump in the price of the 2021 models over the 2020 models. Like happened last year with a bump in price of 2019 over 2020 models. Boats in general are selling like hot cakes right now, so buy a 2020 model now while you can.

Wall3315 You do know the 2080 is only 4" longer than the 1980? The trailer is the same. If that is the issue, assuming you have a boat now and keeping it elsewhere? Vexus made the 2080 4" longer for the 200hp rating vs 150 or 175 for 1980.

Ordered boat last week of May, and was told by dealer it would be a 2021.
