Can anyone shed some light on the truth to this? If so it sounds sweeeet. Glad I have livescope.

Truth of what?? You have the news feed from straight from Garmin (its on their website). Looks to be an update and buy the $100 bracket.

Wow. Actually super impressed with Garmin, just adding more functionality to their existing product rather than trying to nickel and dime us with an entire new head unit or transducer. So basically it gives you a ~160 degree "overhead" view of what is in front of you?? Really gonna have to think hard about pulling the trigger now!

That was my first thought, finally a company took a product and made it do more without anything crazy expensive. A $100 bracket and you’re good. Which honestly I could probably take my current bracket and rig one up like theirs for $10.

As usual.....I may just be the slow guy in the room here.......so please give grace and mercy if I am just being "thick".

What I think I read is that:

    1. You mount your existing LS32 transducer to the $99 bracket.
    2. You download a software update
    3. You have "perspective mode"

Is it as easy as that.

    If so......two questions.

Can you mount the new bracket to the TM like you can the LS32 transducer
Can you switch between livescope and perspective view on the unit or does it take a physical change to transducer position.

My boat goes to Russel Marine Products on the 13th for a complete change to Garmin. Force TM, Echomap Ultra units and Livescope. If this is truly just $100 adder to get this.....I am in.

    So....am I missing something?

The Garmin Website says, Perspective view only available with purchase of Mount. I'm guessing you will have to have an update code that comes with buying the mount.

Its the same mount that you mount to the TM as of today, they just added a "L" bracket that can be rotated (manually) to change direction of ducer. The unit/software will detect the change automatically and swap the view for you on the screen. That's it. The FREE update came out today, is you have a compatible unit.

Since you are bringing your boat to RMP, they will fix you up.....but for now the bracket is not available....showing to be 5-8 weeks out.

    Here is the bracket: https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/p/691912

I agree. Impressive. I will definitely have one now, just have to decide on a unit to run it

Tell me if I'm off here. Looks like it kinda combines the strengths of HB 360 and Livescope. Sound right?
If so, that's a grand slam.

I'd say yes, except just not a full 360 view on the screen.......
