Plug it into the black port and it will auto detect. No selection needed for structure scan transducers.

I did that and there is not a LSS2 on the list therefore it doesn’t have one to auto choose

Auto choose means you don’t choose, it does it for you! Plug it in, go to the Structure page, and under source select, This Unit. Do it on the water.

It should not go into Channel 1. Channel 2 is designated as the Structure channel. Read the second note below direct from your manual. Channel 1 will not support sidescan from a StructureScan transducer. Here is the description for each channel from your manual:

    Sonar CH1 - blue 9-pin connector
    Supports:
    • Sonar / CHIRP Sonar
    • DownScan
    • Active Imaging 3D transducer
    • LiveSight Down/Forward transducer
Note: A 7-pin transducer cable can be connected to a 9-pin
port using a 7-pin to 9-pin adaptor cable. However, if the
transducer has a paddle wheel speed sensor, the water-speed
data will not be displayed on the unit.
Note: Channel 1 can do SideScan via an Active Imaging 3D
transducer. It cannot do SideScan from an Active Imaging,
Active Imaging 3-in-1, TotalSCan, StructureScan or
    StructureScan HD transducer.
    Sonar CH2 - black 9-pin connector
    Supports:
    • Sonar / CHIRP Sonar
    • DownScan
    • SideScan
    • Active Imaging/Active imaging 3-in-1/TotalScan/StructureScan
    Ú Note: A 7-pin transducer cable can be connected to a 9-pin
port using a 7-pin to 9-pin adaptor cable. However, if the
transducer has a paddle wheel speed sensor, the water-speed
data will not be displayed on the unit.

Wouldn’t the Active imaging 3 in 1 would be a better route than the LSS2?!

idk I run that on a carbon, only issue is 2D at speed unless you drop the ducer in the water

My thru Hull 2D is installed on the other HDS unit in channel 1. Blue connector. I can select PD-WBL on that HDs.
