920 Elite w/ Merc, Prop choices

    Hey guys

920 Elite, I believe this is the 920 pro xp hull. I want to run a 4 blade fury. What pitch seems to be the general consensus, the best for this hull.

I have a 25p 4 blade fury I was running on my Triton with the Merc 2 stroke. Was getting 71-72mph WOT at 5900rpms. Full tourney load, 3/4 tank and passenger. I’m not concerned with getting 80mph just want best performance for big water.

    thanks in advance

    Ran a Fury 4 24 on a 20PHX and the RPMs were good. Also, a 25 Bravo 1 XS.

I don't know for sure with the mercs, but when I tried a fury 4 on my sho it made it ride like crap. It's got too much stern lift and instead of cutting through chop and waves it just slammed into them.

I run a bravo as a second prop and it rides almost as good as my sho prop and lifts the bow up well in rough stuff

Thanks for input guys. I should start a mail order prop rental business lmao

Seems 24p is general census. It’s very similar to my old boat I’m surprised guys aren’t trying 25p.

When I get mine broke in, I’m hoping to try a Croxton Razor4. He thinks it will be a good match and will help carry the extra stern weight of 5 batteries and power poles.

He makes very nice props, and will make adjustments to match your hull and desires. Tell him exactly what your wanting. Good hole shot and mid range, maybe you just want a prop for top speed, or a well rounded prop, he’s the man. I only send my props to Mark Croxton.
