    Landing net

Needing new net. I had one from sports academy ..Their brand H20 it had the net that was rubber coated. It was awful trying to get a crankbait out of. What net are you guys using thats good for crankbaits. I know they make solid rubber but seem like their shallow.

Solid rubber for me. They don't get hung on everything in the boat, and crankbaits come out with ease. They do have a lot of drag through the water, and they are shallow, but I've never had a bass jump back out in 25+ years of using one.

My foldable with rubber coated net is getting worn out, I need to figure out what I am going to replace it with.

Thought I took the pictures out. But they didn't come out by back spacing after loading them.

I ordered replacement netting with a 2" hole pitch. Far less threads to grab baits. The down side is a 12" bass can sometimes swim through one, a 14" bass can't. If I'm catching 12" bass I ain't getting a check anyway.

Though, if you're netting a 12" bass, I'd say you need him pretty bad?

What size Ego Slider 2s are you guys going with? Sort of in the market myself and not sure what size to go with. Ideally would like to go a little smaller than the net I use now so I can store it easier, but interested to see if others are using smaller ones - wouldn't want to go smaller and end up hating it!

As a long time ago lessons learned, I net everything.

I use a Frabil Sportsman, has served me well for many years. It has a rubber net, never have had an issue with netting fish or having them come out once netted. It's also relatively cheap, like $40

I've got an ego slider. Well built for sure.

it has been propped up in the corner of my garage since I got the Stowaway net. I got the 72" stainless steel one. Folds up nice and compact in the case when not using it.

I had a large 21” hoop and loved it. Then it it blew out of the boat on a run and I couldn’t find it. I replaced it with a large 21” hoop “deep” rubber one and I like it too. But, if u have to chase a fish it’s harder to push thru the water with all that rubber dragging. If I had it to do over, I’d go back with the regular large net. I really like how easy trebles come out with no tangling.

I fish alone quite a bit and got the YakAttack XL. It's got a pure rubber net, great handle design and easy to use alone.
