    Ethernet cables/adapters

Am I missing something? Humminbird sells their own Ethernet cable for a ton of money and then requires 30$ “adapter cables” at each end to connect to their own units????? I hope I’m mistaken. This is highway robbery. I apologize if I’m missing a newer cable. I can’t find one online.

The same Ethernet cables are used with several models and accessories. The Ethernet adapters were added when the XX9 models got a quick disconnect feature instead of the threaded locking nut attachment that was used. The ONIX, SOLIX, and Ethernet Switch still use the threaded lock nut attachment.
No reason to have two lines of Ethernet cables for their products.

Ah. I didn’t realize solix and ONIX used the threaded style. I’d argue there’s no reason to offer multiple Ethernet port styles on new units though. Thanks for the info. It costs 120$ to link up 2 helix units. Insane.
