You shouldn't have any creaking whatsoever. The only noise this TM is making is the digital frequencies of when the unit is changing paths/directions.

That sounds bad! Did you use the rubber isolaters when mounting? Almost sounds like an issue with the mount rather than the motor. I would send it back if it was mine. Not going to be fun returning it but something is not right.

Sounds like a hand full of rocks in a blender, on mlf the other day Cody Meyer's sounded that bad too, but I couldn't tell what brand it was they never would do a close up on it. I'm pretty sure it was a Garmin Force though

No I Did not use the rubber isolators I installed it exactly the way BassCat installed my ultrex from the factory. You can actually feel the popping where the two shafts go together. There is a seal broken between what i think is the bearing carrier and the part on the lower shaft with the hex screws. I have to go to the nearest service center (whom I called and stocks no parts) I am disappointed to say the least. Its less than 2 months old. I even offered to buy a refurbished unit and send mine back with no luck

Damn! Definitely not good.
That is problematic and not how it should sound. It sounds as if the gearing is chattering. Definitely needs to be sent back to Lowrance for warranty.
I was on the phone for 2 hours with lowrance today. Very, very nice lady at tech. Their tech seems to have improved. I guess I will call them back tomorrow and tell them what the certified tech said. The other tech never called me back.
