    CALLING ALL FABRICATORS!

This has been posted before, but seems to get lost overtime. Has anyone been able to fabricate a bow console plate to replace the crappy factory console for a Skeeter SX180 my boat 2009, but it seems Skeeter has maintained this horrible design for at least a decade!
    I've attached pics.

    Thanks!

Might try Chris Bailey (BBC Sponsor)

Starboard is wonderful stuff. I made one for my old ZX200 and my new one.

At first glance, looks like it wouldn't be too difficult a project.

The stuff is cheap. Works like wood. You can glue, drill, screw it. Amazon has it.

I just built one for my brand new ZX200. Came with a flush mount. Didn't like. Thought Precison valued their product a little too dearly. Did use the Precision mount on the console. Now that I'm into it, I'd do it again out of Starboard for about 1/10th the cost.

The Precision mount is a piece of jewelry, though, just expensive.

I thought about trying Starboard, but its not a straight opening. The opening has rounded edges with a lip, so I image there would be gaps, since it wouldn't be mounted flush to the opening. Also, the old part mounted to the top of the opening and to the bottom of the deck itself.
