    25hp Mercury 4 stroke Prop

Im seeking some advice on what prop to get. I have a newer (2015) Mercury 25hp 4 stroke. I was looking at getting a spitfire prop. Mercury makes two of them. The only difference is one has a pitch of 11 and the other has a pitch of 9.5. I have done some reading on the subject but still am undecided. Any thoughts or suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

Did you go to the Mercury website and use their prop selector tool? It may be of some help to you. A tach to monitor engine RPM is really needed to answer which prop might work better for you. You dont want to run the engine over the max RPM.

I have the same eng for one of my duck boats. There is a small red light that will come on when running wide open if you over rpm the motor . On very light boat use the 11. If you are more on the heavy side use the 9.5 .
