Does anyone use a weighted Blanket ?

My buddy was really surprised by the better sleep he gets with a weighted blanket. He said he doesn't change positions 10 times a night.. In today''s WSJ, the columnist loves his #20 weighted Blanket. He said > Nothing more peaceful at night than the feeling of being suffocated by a cloud. Anyone have a weighted blanket and enjoy a better sleep ?

I do, and like it. Only downside is I stay in the same position all night and wake up sore when I first move.

Water beds...then memory foam everything...now weighted blankies....
I haven't tried one but I have been racking my little brain to the max for next years "best sleep" solution!
IRL monkey for sleep messages? IDK, I'm working on it...

I was skeptical even after my buddy told me it helped him sleep. I guess they work. Any more success stories ?

It probably depends on what your sleeping troubles are? Trouble falling asleep? Nightmares? Toss and turn?

We have one, the manufacturer suggested 30 pounds for my weight. 30 is too heavy for my wife. 20 would have been about right. You don’t toss and turn much with a 30 pound blanket.

The best thing we’ve bought was a heated mattress pad.

My dad brought a "mink" blanket from Korea, that think is real heavy, I love sleeping under that thing. Might need to try a weighted blanket.

The only way to sleep under a mink blanket would be in the raw. Man that sounds great, if only I could afford one.

Heated mattress pad? We use a cooling pad on our mattress. We sleep better being a little cool than we do warm or hot.

I haven't ever used one, but couldn't you get the same results by throwing another blanket or quilt on the bed? Just asking

I have one and i love it. I have always liked a lot of "covers" for weight. A weighted blanket solves helps me sleep due to the weight.

I was wondering the same thing but 30 lbs is a lot of weight. I didn't realize they were so heavy. Would probably overheat under all that weight in blankets.

it would take 20 regular blankets to accomplish the same thing.
