    Tough on Lay Lake today.

Started our tournament season today at Lay Lake. The water is still muddy and a few limbs, tree debris was still floating down the lake. The fishing has turned off bad, this morning at launch it was 24 degrees and it seemed it pushed the bass back to deeper water.
At weigh-in half our club did not have one fish to weigh in. One boat (not mine) had the only 5 fish limit. I came in second almost by default by catch 3 medium size bass. I will say this, I lost a good half dozen crankbaits today. The grass line was filled with logs and other heavy debris that just beg for me to throw a crankbait near it...I did and lost them.
The current is still pretty fast, especially if you north, it becomes very fast and it is still flooded up there.
On to Guntersville next month, maybe we will not run into a record low temperatures at night next month.

Great feedback. I’ll let my son know, he’s heading there today to look around for a tournament he has next week.
