Which shoot thru hull transducer for Helix 12 si g2n

So, please excuse my ignorance. I've always been annoyed that I couldn't determine depth while on plane. I just assumed that the thru hull transducers required you to drill a hole in the bottom of your boat. I never really liked that idea for obvious reasons. I started looking into it again and realized there are two different types of thru hull transducers. Shoot thru and thru hull transducers. I'm liking the idea of adding the shoot thru to my aluminum hull. Some of the posts I found regarding this were a little old so I wanted to make sure I picked what worked best for my unit. I have also been reading about different types of Y cables that may be required? Just looking for a helping. I appreciate any help.

Looks like I may be wrong. These won't work with aluminum boats I believe.

Humminbird does not have any shoot-thru rated transducers for metal hulls.
Depends on which G2N model you have.
If you had the original G2N or a first generation Helix, there is a shoot-thru rated 2D transducer for your hull if it is not too thick------ Alumaducer.
If you have the HW SI G2N, then no.
