Early Spring Crappie Trip to Kentucky/Barkely

I have a good friend looking to head down to Barkley/Kentucky from Cincy in the next few weeks. Advice for when and where to hit the spawn would be much appreciated. They don't have anything booked at the moment and would consider any given weekend or lake/river near at the moment. Jigs shallow under Cork preferred! Also considering a guide the first day, have one I told them to call but other recommendations appreciated

Typically the month of April is when you want to go. Try the Big Sandy area near Paris. Steve McAdams is a top guide and if booked can direct you to another. Look at water temps from 55-65 to hit the spawn.
