Best prop for a 2000 187 dcx elite

Hey guys , just picked up my first bass boat a month ago and was looking for prop recommendations , I have a 2000 187/elite DC and a 2000 150 efi , boat came with a 23p tempest and a 24p tempest plus. Was wondering if anyone had a similar set up and what you were getting for mph ! Thanks (PS I live in Canada and there is no soft water anywhere to test it lol )

I have a 98 187 with 175 EFI right now and a 25p tempest has been great for me. Being that you have a 150, I would say a 24 or 23 would be a good start.

If I am empty and by myself I am right around 65mph. Fully tourney load with livewells and partner. around 60.

Congratulations and welcome to the Champion family!!!! I had a 1999 187 with 150 Opti. 23 Tempest Plus set at 3.5 below pad and ran 58 with two folks and all gear (empty live wells) and half tank fuel. 62 light with just me. Loved that boat!!!!

Guy in my club has a 2000 187 w/ a 150 Yammie. He started running a 24 Tempest and its right on. He just added 2 blades and it's still good.

I think you have the right props already. Experiment with both and see what you like better. I have a 25 tempest on mine and am thinking about going to a 24 trophy or tempest as my hole shot ain't the best fully loaded with 2 or 3 people in the boat.

It was great before I added 4 agm batteries and two power poles. I put a cbaily hydrofoil on it and that helped quite a bit.

I have a 2000 dc 186, 150 mercury efi with a tempest 23 p worked by Mark last spring an i get 61gps. I gained 5 mph and better holeshot after the prop work. It is currently set 3.25 below pad. Still some tinkering, but seems like correct prop for rig.
