I do not have anchors but watching tournaments such as MLF gave me an idea. I may be late to the game on this idea but hear me out.
The anchors should be able to operate with a voice command option. Similar to saying "Hey Siri" to your iPhone, it would be cool to say "Anchor Down!" or "Anchor Up" and they deploy or raise. Seem much better than stomping a button as well as having them mounted in multiple locations.
It's always windy in ND, and where would the microphone be at that rain won't hit it?

That is exactly my thought, add the mic to the current remotes that are worn around the neck.
What happens when it mis interprets a noise and drops anchor when you are doing 50 in 6ft of water?
Cool idea but I will just stick with my button.
Since the C-Monster now integrates with your graphs, if they see the boat is moving over a certain speed they will not operate with voice command. Some simple engineering and safe guards can make this happen. Maybe a sensor that only allows voice command when the trolling motor is down.
If we work this idea out on this board we should all get a cut, but I get the bigger piece...

Hell I can’t get Siri work right most of the time speaking directly into the phone with no background noise. Lol. I’ll stick with my buttons.

I hear Al Linder has this feature on his Talons already. Every show i see he says, “Talon down”, poof down they go.
This voice command system will easily add $1k or more to the price of shallow water anchors. Careful what you wish for.

No for me, but I will holler "Anchor Down" right after my boat number is called.

The TD, and overly competitive fella, yells 3..2..1... Anchors down!... Go! And proceeds to haul Arse down the lake while everyone with the voice activated power poles sit there in a panic trying to get their poles back up.

I hope they do this! When I see people "anchor down" and catching fish when it's real windy, I can ease over beside them, yell "anchors up" hit the spot lock and catch their fish.....
Ok so "anchor down" or "anchor up" will not work for this group. Good grief. If I build it, it will be customizable. For me it will be "Peanut Butter" for down and "Jelly" for up. Problem solved.

Voice activated switches are fairly cheap if you want to experiment.
Don't let na-sayers detour your great idea.. . I think it's dead on for what we need n I can almost gaurantee it's probably already in the the works.... most people only have negative things to say about good ideas becuz they didn't think of them first.... all our equipment is going bluetooth.... by next year you'll be able to program your phone to every electronic component on your boat n with that you'll be able control it all by your voice.... anybody that disagrees with Kuhuna is lieing to themselves!
