Due to high winds day 2 has been postponed. Good call as it is Howling down here.

With day two postponed, the full field will fish on Saturday and the top 30 pros will fish on Sunday, which will be the final day of competition.

How do they cancel on Harris chain, but mlf fishes on O? Harris is mostly canals, yet O is 30 miles wide. Seems odd.

Big differance between sending 40 boats and 150 boats out.....for the record there is a small craft advisory for the Big O region (im sure they mean the ocean side more)

Have you ever fished Harris chain? 20 mph shouldn’t be cancelled. 40 boats, 1 boat, 150 boats. Their still responsible. Doesn’t make sense.

Yes I have and will be back there next week to watch the boy compete in the FLW College natty....I also run a tournament series here in Illinois....if you send a derby out in a severe weather event (in this case wind and a lake advisory) you are putting your insurance at risk. So you are correct THEY (FLW) are being responsible in this case.

I have fished out of Venetian Gardens twice this winter. It would have been calm at the launch but you have to cross Lake Harris to get to canals to go to the other lakes. Bet there were 5 footers on the other ends. I think 14 feet is the deepest I have seen out there. I say Good Call to post pone.

I did hear Bobby Lane said he went to a side of O that was dangerous and ran to the North End. Hope they all stay safe today

Yes.

MLF anglers can afford rain gear.

MLF has the luxury of allowing the anglers to trailer to launch wherever. FLW can't really do that.

Tiny lakes? Harris, Eustis...these are not TINY lakes.

Harris chain gets horrible in high winds....especially the bigger "round" lakes...such as Harris...and Eustis. They absolutely made the right call.
