    Wearing red on fridays or "red fridays" was first done to show support to bring the troops home. It made a big resurgence during the busch and obama adminstrations due to the amount of time our troops were spending in Iraq (busch) afganistan (obama)

    It's a bit of a quiet protest and show of support.

    a lot of organizations " stole " the wear red on Friday theme. Originally was to show support for the troops every where fighting for our freedom. The red symbolizes the blood that they shed.

    That's mainly why I stopped wearing it every friday....too many other groups claiming it's for support of their cause, instead of the original reason.
