    My 2008 Z20 does the same thing, but doesn't seem to cause any problems

    Look at the wire diagram on the underside of the lid, is the switch wired correctly? When the switch is in the off position there is no power to the keypad.

    Well since it's dark and snowing I think I will wait to look at the wiring diagram, but thanks for the response

    I am assuming that you are talking about the breaker on the starboard side of the rigging compartment. If you have a hydraulic jackplate there is a breaker for that also and you may be switching the wrong breaker?

    The master switch looks to be wired correctly. Also with two HB 12 running and everything else off my voltage goes from like 12.9 to 11.7 in 30 minutes or so. That seems like a lot of drop off in volts

    Outboard not on the switch? Only thing on my rigs that are always live is the autobilge, everything else thru the cutoff switch.

    That drop in voltage [I assume you are seeing this reading on your graph screen?] is fairly common, although certainly not ideal. Probably has more to do with your battery than anything else. Two 12-inch screens in display mode requires a top-quality 31 AGM battery or equivalent to avoid substantial voltage drop over time. There is an electrical/trolling motor forum where you can get more expert help regarding voltage draws and so forth. Good folks over there.

    @madewell,

    Tell us more about the "main power switch".
    Is it this type:

    If so, when off nothing should have power except the auto bilge pump, keypads, engine, trim, jack plate, nothing.

    or are you looking at this type:

    which is a breaker

    My master switch just has a on /off position. Similar 30 amp breaker. Battery is a group 31 blue top optima. Boat is a 2011 Z520 with a new mercury 4s. Battery and engine were put on boat about six months ago. I have about 4 hours on engine. I appreciate the help and will check what l can this weekend.

    Mine has a breaker on the port side that’s for shutting the power off to the trolling motor has nothing to do with the rest of the boat. The power to the boat is same as the pics in the above post.
