    Lake Tarpon Questions

Going to be in Clearwater area the first week of March. I have not been able to find much information on Lake Tarpon other than it sounds like it is a good lake for some Florida bass. I am planning on bringing the boat down and getting out a couple days to do some fishing. Any tips or suggestions?

I haven’t fished Tarpon in a while but I did catch my Pb 12lb4oz out of that lake! When they’re schooling it’s just a matter of chasing them. It really fishes pretty much like most Florida lakes and has some great big fish in it.

During the spawn it is a pretty easy lake.

Outside of the spawn good luck. Focus around canals and behind the cat tails/bullrush
