Course/Heading Issue

I have 2 Helix 12 Chirp SI GPS G2N's with the 2019 update connected. Both are set Course Up. When I am fishing a waypoint and get blown off of it the waypoint changes position in relation to my boat. Its like the chart changes to North Up. Not sure I am describing this correctly. Is there a fix?

Course is not Heading. Do you have a AS GPS HS antenna connected or have a Minnkota trolling motor with iPilot LINK?

BTW, Course is the direction the boat is MOVING at .6 mph or more as indicated by a Green Line (course projection).
Using Course Up rotates the map to the direction you are MOVING.

What you said also makes sense since getting back on the trolling motor towards the waypoint switchesthe chart back to where it was.

To have accurate positioning for doing what you were doing takes a Heading Sensor.

The Ultrex has a Heading Sensor included, but you can't use it with the unit unless you have iPilot LINK.

If you don't have that version trolling motor, add a AS GPS HS antenna to the unit. That will stabilize the position curser/map when at less than .6 mph and give you a line showing the direction the bow is pointed.
If you use the Head Up Chart Orientation, the top of the Chart view will be the direction your bow is pointed. The Chart will rotate as you change the bow direction. That is the best setting to use when fishing offshore waypoints
