Just purchased a Mercmonitor for my 2008 20-X HP and would like to know where and how you guys mounted it? Looks like it’s smaller than the big gauge in the dash! Also what gauge did you swap out? Looks like I’m going to have to get either a fuel sensor or trim sensor no matter what gauge I take out!

Those look like 4 5/8 inch gauges. The Mercmonitor is 3 3/8 inches. You will need to get a spacer of some type if you are replacing one of those. If not, break out the hole saw and pretty much put it anywhere you like. I have seen some Phoenix boats with the mounted in a cup holder or down below the throttle.

I took the speedo out on mine. As far as the fuel gauge you can use the fuel used feature on the mercmonitor which is very accurate and just work backward from full with that. I dont even pay attention to the fuel gauge anymore jusg clear the fuel used each time you fill up. As far as the hole size ive made trim rings for guys that take up the space and yoy just sandwhich the dash between and it all holds together. The center graph are mounting like Bob did is probly the easiest.Originally Posted by bassfreaks
