    Butt seat too tall

I’m about 5’10” and my butt seat on my new triton is a little too tall for me. Anyone else have this issu? what did you do to fix it? New pedestal? If so where did you get it?

    Adjustable pedestal at BPS.

Your pedestal pole should be adjustable if it's a fairly new boat

Replaced mine with one from BP. The one that came with it is pretty much a leaning post.

I drilled the rivets at the lower end and took the threaded rod out. then i took a saw and cut a few inches off and put the threaded part back in and put 2 rivets in it.

I am 5’9”, mine is at the lowest possible adjustment and just useable, if I were any shorter it would be a problem. Seems like Triton thinks - based on their adjustment - most fishermen are 6 foot to 7.5 feet tall. If I set it the highest setting I would need a step ladder to get on it.... lol

Same problem on my '14. I tried using it twice, just too tall. Even all the way down it rests against my kidneys. I'm 5'10" btw.

Maybe they think Shaq is the only person buying Triton's.

I'm 6' but this is what I did. I have some worn out discs in my back so I can't stand all day anymore so I wanted the pole to be a little shorter so I can sit at times. I cut mine down a little bit so now I can stand or sit. I didn't have to cut much, I think about 2"-3".
    Have a Blessed Day,
