Looking for a lake or lakes to fish near Great lakes Navel Base

We are looking for a lake or lakes near the Great Lake Navel Base. My son will be there for a few months and we plan to visit at least a few times each month. I am trying to find a lake that I can bring my RT188 and catch some fish. We like to fun fish so any species would be fine. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Some of the lakes I have seen on google maps are:

    Fox Lake
    Long lake
    Grass Lake

    Geneva Lake (WI)
    Delavan Lake (WI)

    Thanks,

A little farther north there are some good lakes in Waukesha and Washington county. Pewaukee Lake has some very nice largemouth and Muskies.
All will be busy on the weekends. Sometimes you may have to wait to launch.

Dont sleep on fishing the marina at the great lakes base on lake Michigan. In credible smallmouth right there inside the marina and outside on the break walls.

Geneva and Delavan are great fisheries but have brutal boat traffic on the weekends in the summer. Delavan is shallower and a little easier to fish. Geneva is very clear, tougher to fish but many people feel it is the better lake. A lot of dock and weed line fishing on both. I would fish either of those lakes over the Chain of Lakes. Good luck.

I've done pretty good on Long lake. Fox and grass require a pretty expensive sticker.
