Usually i've thrown a jig, tube, baby brush hog, super hog etc. If i'm not getting bit then i'm going to a ned rig.
Mojo/splitshot rig with a senko or trick worm is my confidence booster
Neko rig with a 5” senko
Ditto this. I’m thinking reverse order of the OP statement. Moving baits in the beginning of the day, to get numbers of active fish while they are still active. Finesse-style drop baits placed into spot-on-the-spot locations later in the day to coax another bite from fish that have become wary from angler pressure. Doesn’t necessarily mean that I would sit there and soak it, but try to hit as many high-yield locations as I can in the time I have remaining with a bait they can’t resist.

Everything I see posted is for clear water. With all the rain this year, how about muddy water with about 2" visibility? Mine would be a spinnerbait or jig with rattle.
Just to catch a fish I'd prob throw a texas rigged baby brush hog or shakey head of some type
A Bandit 200 crankbait. I can get bit on one when nothing else works.
Ned rig
Downsize. If this stupid little 3/16 oz Johnson ThinFisher blade bait doesn't get bit, times ARE tough. I've caught more than my fair share of keepers on this thing over the years in all seasons, don't let anyone tell you it's a cold water bait only. Sometimes they're just keyed in on little baits. You can jig them, yo yo them and burn them. Even though they're small, they cast like bullets so you don't need a noodly little rod to launch them, a M or ML will do the job.
Ranting incoherently
Ned rig.
Used to be a Slider head with a 4" black or GP cut tail or Charlie Brewer 3" grub now it's usually a Ned.

Senko.
3/8 oz black GRT jig with skirt trimmed finesse style with a GP tiny rage chunk. Nice compact craw they can’t resist
I mostly fish tidal waters in MD and Va and when it it gets tough I can always get bit on a Texas rigged 4" blue fleck ringworm or a Zoom UV Speed Craw in green pumpkin.
That really can’t be answered straight forward. Some ponds or lakes for me might be a chatterbait, crank, jig n pig or rattletrap. Depends where I’m at. Different waters, different go to lures.
