Masters of the Outboardverse.....VJ60TLENE '92...Air silencer has a drain hose @ the bottom and a nipple on the bottom of the intake...Is there any vacuum from this nipple when running?...I'm finishing up a little work (rebuilt carbs..new plugs and wires..all new fuel and oil hose from the fitting under the cowl..fuel filter etc and I have a length of hose on the intake nipple (longer than needed) hanging out so I wouldn't forget to hook up the drain...I gently blew down the hose and heard some bubbling...is there some sort of void that fills up with drainage from the cover..if so will it be scavenged when the motor starts?hope you get what I'm trying to ask?..as usual...Thanks in advance...B.

You're fine it is a vent line.
