    Rough water livewell trick

I know this has been talked about before but I can’t seem to find the old posts. I have tried filling the livewells up with water to help with rough water conditions but I would like to fine tune it a bit. Should you fill both livewells up or just one? Fill them up all the way or maybe half way? If you are fishing with a partner should you fill them up differently than fishing by yourself?

Good idea with the over flow plug. What about if you are driving with a partner in rough water? I assume you fill both livewells up to the top?

What drew said - plug overflow and fill to the top on both. Then just stop periodically to make sure you aren't losing water. The best system is Vexus pressurized wells like they use in ocean boats - but they are the only ones who have that tech in bassboats.

I put a rubber plug in the overflow and fill until water comes out of my vt2 vents. I also have pool noodles in the live well which helps out with both keeping the fish safe and it helps keep the water in the live well as it splashes around and hits the pool noodle where before it would come out on the sides of the live well lid.

Plug the overflow and add pool noodles (pink ones to calm the fish down LOL) .
